Green Eggs and Ham Anyone?

Hip Hip Hooray for Dr. Seuss Day! We had fun celebrating his b-day at preschool today. I got to wear my Cat in the Hat hat. It was fun reading some of his books. It brings back childhood memories of his fun pictures, bright colors, and rhymes that seem to make little sense. (A lot like most of the B-52s songs) I think my favorite Dr. Seuss book is McElligot's Pool. Loved it growing up!
Dr. Seuss used to live in La Jolla, near where I'm from back in California. My dad even worked on his air conditioning in his house. I wonder if they spoke to each other and if so what they said. Perhaps their conversation went something like this:

Dad:"Are you not cool by the pool? Fun it's not, when your house is so hot."

Theodor Geisel (aka Dr. Seuss): "Don't be a jerk, get back to work. Make this heat fade or you won't get paid."

Okay, maybe they didn't talk in rhyme. I'll have to ask my dad next time. (hee hee)

What a fun story about your dad. You inspired us and we ate green eggs and ham (ok, so the ham was pink) for dinner that night and everyone picked their favorite Dr Seuss book to read for family night. I was just missing the hat! What a cute picture too!
