Mountains or Ocean?

I love the beautiful mountains that tower here. However, to me there will never be a sight that compares to the ocean. I guess this warmer weather is making me miss back home. The beach! Mount Timpanogos is an amazing sight, as seen here in this picture I took of it out on Utah Lake. But...moonsets and sunsets melting into the sea cannot be described by just a single word such as amazing. (Don't let my opinion influence you. Vote on my poll about which you prefer.)

What about desert? What about Georgia O'Keefe? I really feel most at peace when it's hot and there is sage brush. Plus, desert and dessert and almost the same word.
Peace.

You funny girl cass. How about having a hot desert mountain that sits on the beach with a dessert bar which also displays Georgia O'Keefe's works. Would that be better?

I haven't been to the beach in so, so long, but Lynn and I are dying to go. We were thinking of a quicky vacation and our first choice is San Diego. I still love the mountains, but I think I'm SO beyond ready for some warm weather the beach is definitely on my mind. Can't wait for St. George! Only 19 days until we leave! Woo Hoo! The news says it was close to 80 today. I'd be great with anything in the 70's.

P.S. Thanks for the yummy cupcake!

Hey Deanna,
I tried to vote for ocean, but I guess I'm too late.

I left part of my heart in San Diego 5 years ago when we moved to the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. I do love these mountains, but a part of me still remains true to the BEACH. Nothing beats the sunset on the ocean, especially when you're fortunate enough to have seen that 'green flash' everyone talks about. I really did see it twice!! I love the walks on the beach and hot dogs cooking on an open fire in the sand. I love the Beach Boys music and know all of their songs; that's the way we all grew up at the beach. At 64 years old, their music is the one I crank up on my ipod. My favorite song, Surfin' USA, followed by California Girls. Ditto to you Deanna, even though I'm your MOM, who let you grow up at the Beach. Carol
